Job summary

AllysAI builds production AI systems for regulated enterprises (banking, pharma, energy). You’ll design and implement backend services in Python (FastAPI) and Java (Spring Boot), deploying as Docker containers on Kubernetes (Azure AKS).

Job description

AllysAI builds production AI systems for regulated enterprises (banking, pharma, energy). You’ll build the backend those AI agents run on, integrated into our clients’ own systems.

What you’ll do

• Design and build microservices in Python (FastAPI) and Java (Spring Boot), including services deployed inside a client’s existing Java platform.
• Build the shared platform layer: API gateway integration, session and state handling, document services, and the tools our AI agents call.
• Integrate with enterprise systems through REST APIs and message queues: authentication (OAuth2, JWT), retries, idempotent writes, error handling and audit logging.
• Package and ship services as Docker images on Kubernetes (Azure AKS), with CI/CD, tests and monitoring.
• Work with our AI engineer, solution architect and DevOps engineer, and join client technical sessions when needed.

Must have

• 5+ years of backend engineering, with Java/Spring Boot and Python both used in production.
• Microservices you designed and own in production: APIs, databases (PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus).
• Solid grounding in security and reliability: auth, secrets, rate limits, retries without duplicate writes, observability.
• Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• Clear spoken and written English

Nice to have

• Banking, fintech or other regulated-industry systems.
• Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault, API Management) and API gateways such as Kong.
• Experience exposing services to AI agents (tool calling, MCP).
