Job summary

Mashreq is seeking an experienced IBM API Connect Administrator in Karachi to support production environments, configure security settings, and manage API lifecycles. The role involves monitoring health, incident management, and coordinating with IBM Support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in API management, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with on‑prem and cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and developer portal customization.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in API management and production support.
• Experience administering IBM API Connect in Cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with TLS profiles, security configurations, and API security best practices.
• CI/CD pipelines for APIs and developer portal administration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, deploy, administer and monitor IBM API Connect in Cloud and on‑prem VMs.
• Monitor API health to ensure performance and availability.
• Lead incident resolution calls and perform root cause analysis.
• Analyze logs to identify problems in the IBM API Connect environment.
• Configure backups and restorations for IBM API Connect subsystems.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying APIs.
• Manage API lifecycle in the API Management Portal across catalogs.
• Manage users, groups, roles and security configurations.
• Apply patches and upgrades as required.
• Provide technical architecture insights and respond to security questions.
