Job summary

UNICEF in Islamabad seeks a Social and Behaviour Change Specialist (Nutrition and ECD) to strengthen SBC interventions and frontline worker capacity. The role reports to the Chief Child Nutrition and Development and collaborates with Nutrition, ECD, SBC, Health, WASH and partners to ensure effective program delivery.

The incumbent will translate SBC evidence into practical actions, engage communities, and support inclusive behaviour and social change for children, women and families.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nutrition, ECD, SBC or related field.
• Minimum five years in SBC, nutrition, public health, ECD, community engagement or applied behavioural science.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of another UN language or local language is an asset.
• Experience translating SBC strategies into practical tools for nutrition and ECD programs.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen implementation of integrated Nutrition and ECD interventions through SBC support.
• Engage communities, build frontline worker capacity, and use field feedback to improve delivery.
• Translate SBC evidence into practical actions and work with national and provincial teams and partners.
