Job summary

UNDP Pakistan is seeking a Team Lead / Programme Specialist for the Rule of Law Programme in Islamabad. The role provides technical leadership, policy guidance, and coordination across government counterparts, donors, and international partners to strengthen justice and security sectors.

The incumbent will oversee programme personnel, ensure timely outputs, support resource mobilization, and advance gender-responsive reforms across institutions. Based in Islamabad with field travels as required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Law or related field required.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in rule of law, security, governance or related field.
• Experience providing policy advice and technical reports at national/international level is desired.
• Experience in gender-responsive institutional reform and survivor-centred approaches is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and coordination for the Rule of Law Programme.
• Coordinate and supervise programme personnel and consultants; ensure quality outputs.
• Support donor coordination, reporting, and project reviews; manage PRB processes.
• Provide gender-responsive guidance across law-enforcement, justice, and security institutions.
