Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate pre- and post-award procedures; support faculty with budgets, documentation, internal approvals, cost share, contracts, progress reports, no-cost extensions, and close-outs.
• Process grant, reward, honoraria and ORIC payments and reconcile with Finance; verify and settle publication reward claims and maintain records.
• Maintain the research database and dashboards; prepare the HEC ORIC Scorecard with year-round evidence; act as secretariat to the ORIC Steering Committee.
• Budgeting, auditing, accounting, HR, facilities and equipment management; implement research contracts.
• Implement and streamline the programmatic strategy that promotes multidisciplinary research and ensure compliance with ORIC goals.
• Maintain the funding opportunity log; advise on funding mechanisms and interpret reviews; oversee large proposals and manage grant-writing workshops.
• Map overlapping research interests and create forums for faculty across departments and campuses to connect.

Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the Director ORIC, the Manager Research Management runs ORIC's research administration and grows the university's research portfolio. The role covers pre- and post-award support, SAP processing, publication rewards, HEC ORIC Scorecard reporting and ORIC Steering Committee work, all in line with Riphah, HEC and sponsor regulations. It also drives multidisciplinary collaboration, mentor's junior faculty, oversees proposal development, and builds relationships with donors and industry to increase research funding.

REQUIREMENTS:

MS/MPhil or equivalent qualifications from HEC recognized institute with 03 years of relevant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and communicate pre- and post-award procedures. Support faculty with budgets, documentation, internal approvals, cost share, contracts, progress reports, no-cost extensions, project staff and close-outs.
• Process grant, reward, honoraria and ORIC event payments and reconcile with Finance. Verify and settle publication reward claims and maintain their records.
• Maintain the research database and dashboards. Prepare the HEC ORIC Scorecard with year-round evidence. Act as secretariat to the ORIC Steering Committee.
• Budgeting, auditing and accounting, HR, facilities and equipment, and implementation of research contracts.
• Implement and streamline the programmatic strategy that promotes multidisciplinary research, and ensure compliance to the annual ORIC goals.
• Maintain the funding opportunity log and match calls to faculty. Advise on funding mechanisms and interpreting reviews, oversee large proposals, and manage grant-writing workshops.
• Map overlapping research interests and create forums for faculty across departments and campuses to connect.
• Manage ORIC's website, social media pages and develop the ORIC newsletter. Showcase grants, publications, partnerships and events.
• Manage internal and seed grant calls from announcement through review, award, progress monitoring and close-out.
• Plan and run an annual research training calendar for faculty and students, covering research methods, data analysis, scientific writing and reference management.
