Job summary

IDRAC in Islamabad is seeking a proactive Research Intern to support its research team across data collection, literature reviews, fieldwork, and report drafting. The role offers hands-on experience in applied social science research and collaboration with the Executive Director/Research Manager.

The position involves developing data collection tools, conducting data cleaning and analysis, transcription/translation (Urdu/English), and supporting day-to-day office tasks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sociology, Social Science, Development Studies or related field.
• Willingness to travel for field activities.
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research data.
• Assist with fieldwork, including participant recruitment and note-taking.
• Transcribe and translate documents between English and Urdu as required.
• Draft and edit research reports, briefs, and presentations.
• Maintain organized records and assist in preparing materials for meetings.
