Job summary

Pakistan Institute of Development Economics invites applications for a research support role to assist in literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and policy reporting. The incumbent will help organize research databases and support think tank events, seminars, and administrative tasks for ongoing projects.

Qualifications include an MS/MPhil or equivalent and at least two years of research experience, with proficiency in Excel, SPSS and R.

Qualifications

• MS/MPhil or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized university in a relevant subject.
• Minimum two (02) years of research experience preferably in the respective thematic area.
• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R) is required.
• Familiarity with the think tank environment and policy research landscape.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews, gather data, and assist in quantitative and qualitative research to support ongoing projects and policy analysis.
• Organize and maintain research databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for the research team.
• Assist in data analysis using appropriate tools and methodologies, helping to draw meaningful conclusions from research findings.
• Contribute to the preparation of policy briefs, research papers, and reports, ensuring that they are well-structured and adhere to the think tank’s guidelines.
• Collaborate in the planning and execution of think tank events, seminars, and workshops, providing logistical support and contributing to the content.
• Provide general administrative support to the research team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing research-related documents.
• Assume any other responsibility assigned by the Head of Policy
