Job summary
DigitalTolk is seeking an experienced Linux engineer to own and run infrastructure in a remote capacity. You will be the go-to expert for Linux, Proxmox, and core services with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and consistency.
We require 10+ years in Linux systems engineering, with hands-on experience in Proxmox, Postfix, WireGuard and Unbound. Strong Ansible skills and problem-solving mindset are essential.
Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration required.
- Production experience with Proxmox.
- Hands-on Postfix, WireGuard and Unbound expertise.
- Experience building HA setups with CARP.
- Strong Ansible skills and automation mindset.
- Excellent troubleshooting and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Own Proxmox environments end to end, including clusters and VM management with Ansible automation.
- Run and maintain Postfix mail servers.
- Build and maintain WireGuard VPNs across offices and environments.
- Operate and maintain Unbound for DNS.
- Design and maintain high-availability setups using CARP.
- Use Ansible as standard for provisioning and configuration.
- Monitor, tune and troubleshoot Linux systems; automate recurring fixes.
- Take end-to-end ownership from design to production support.
- Respond to production incidents and drive to resolution.
- Flag risks and technical debt before incidents.
