Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Lead Primary Design Engineer in Karachi, Pakistan, to lead HV substation primary design activities across transmission projects. You will deliver SLDs, layouts, earthing, protection schemes, and cables while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure design quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Primary Design Engineering for High Voltage substations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the primary engineering design of HV substations for transmission projects.
• Prepare SLDs, General Layouts, Equipment Layouts, Earthing and Lightning Protection designs, CIDs.
• Prepare BoQs and material estimations for primary equipment and systems.
• Review civil drawings to ensure design compliance; conduct site visits to support activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and customers to ensure design quality and timely delivery.
