Job summary

Siemens Energy in Karachi is seeking a Primary Design Engineer to lead the primary electrical design of HV substations, delivering accurate technical designs across the project lifecycle and preparing essential deliverables such as SLDs, layouts, and CIDs.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, conduct site visits, review civil drawings for compatibility, and support project execution while ensuring compliance with standards and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Primary Engineering Design for HV substations.
• Experience with transmission and distribution projects is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop primary engineering designs for HV substations and related deliverables.
• Prepare SLDs, General Layouts, Equipment Layouts, Earthing and Lightning Protection designs.
• Create BoQs and material estimations for primary equipment.
• Review civil/structural drawings for compatibility with electrical design.
• Conduct site visits to validate and support design activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency and quality.
