Job summary

Smart Working is hiring a Full-Stack Web Engineer to build a data-heavy, map-based product with a frontend focus. You’ll contribute to backend development, API design and data persistence alongside the AI engineer.

The product involves spatial data, large datasets, file uploads and an AI-powered chat interface with real-time streaming. Strong product thinking and a practical approach to problem-solving are key to succeeding in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years TypeScript full-stack experience.
• Frontend in React and backend in Node.js.
• Experience with map-centric frontends and geospatial tech.
• 3+ years data-heavy UI with tables and uploads.
• 4+ years backend services with Postgres and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core UI with map interactions and chat interface.
• Develop map-centric interfaces rendering large feature sets.
• Display tabular results from spatial queries.
• Handle file-upload flows in product.
• Support backend with API design and server-side persistence.
• Contribute to AI-powered chat with latency/streaming.
• Deliver onboarding deliverables.
