Job summary

M365Consult is hiring a fully remote accounting professional to own daily bookkeeping, migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Latvian tax reporting. You will lead end-to-end migration from QuickBooks to BC, review historical records, and supervise AI-assisted processes while ensuring accuracy and auditability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing the full accounting cycle for entities in one or more European countries.
• Experience with accounting, taxation and statutory reporting in European contexts and Latvian requirements.
• Hands-on setup and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC for real accounting operations.
• Ability to translate business needs into appropriate accounting configuration and verify postings.
• Practical experience using AI-supported automation in finance and accounting.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills with data reconciliation capabilities.
• Independent, deadline-driven work style with clear communication with leadership.
• Proficiency in English and ability to work with Latvian financial documents.
• Relevant accounting/finance qualification or substantial practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, AP/AR, invoicing, expense accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Complete month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations and supporting docs.
• Set up and maintain Business Central configuration, COA, VAT setup and financial workflows.
• Lead migration from QuickBooks to Business Central with data extraction, mapping and go-live.
• Prepare Latvian tax and statutory reporting as applicable.
• Handle international customers, suppliers, and cross-border transactions.
• Manage cash-flow forecasts, budgets and management reporting.
• Configure and supervise AI agents in accounting workflows and verify outputs.
• Maintain traceability from documents to accounting entries and protect confidential data.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial controls.
