Job summary

Pixalate, an online trust and safety platform, is seeking a PhD-level AI Engineer to lead cutting-edge research in agentic AI systems, multimodal analysis, and advanced reasoning architectures that will directly impact millions of users worldwide. The role is remote in Lahore, Pakistan, with flexible hours and cross‑functional collaboration across global teams.

You will work with production engineers to translate research into scalable solutions, monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure

Qualifications

PhD-level AI expertise with research and production impact.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Experience collaborating with engineering teams on complex products.
Fundamental networking troubleshooting skills and alert responsiveness via Slack.

Responsibilities

Configure and tune cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
Improve resources, governance, budgeting and reporting.
Monitor AWS and GCP usage with CloudWatch and Stackdriver metrics.
Upgrade software, patch kernals, manage disaster recovery and backups.
Maintain CI environments, configuration management, and security best practices.
Own release processes across environments and drive infrastructure improvements.
Leverage Ansible, Terraform, and Serverless for automation.
Investigate production issues and contribute to resolutions.
