Job summary

KnowledgeCity is seeking a QA Lead to ensure products meet high quality standards. You will own the QA Engineer agent responsible for writing tests, executing tests, and validating acceptance criteria. Define quality gates and collaborate with product engineers on quality decisions.

Lead test strategy, automate quality gates, and oversee metrics like defect escape rate and test coverage. Strong English, cross-functional work, and mentoring are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Quality Assurance with test strategy and quality management.
• Advanced expertise in test strategy, planning, and defect analysis.
• Hands-on performance and load testing with tools like JMeter/LoadRunner.
• API testing with Postman, Swagger, RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL/database knowledge (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY).
• Test documentation and design (Qase or similar).

Job description

We are hiring a QA Lead who will ensure the products that ship to customers meet a high quality standard. Owns the QA Engineer agent the AI that writes test cases, executes tests, creates unit tests, performs regression testing, and validates that implementations meet acceptance criteria. Defines the quality gate standards that determine whether a release is ready. Does not test manually the QA Engineer agent does that.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Standards

• Define and enforce quality standards across all products

• Define the automated quality gate criteria for releases

• Establish test coverage requirements and testing strategy

• Conduct quality audits and trend analysis across products

QA Engineer Agent Ownership

• Own the QA Engineer agent train and improve its skills to catch defects, write comprehensive tests, and validate requirements

• Define testing templates, coverage requirements, and defect classification standards

• Improve agent skills to reduce false positives and increase defect detection rates

Quality Governance

• Resolve quality disputes and edge cases that the QA agent cannot handle

• Collaborate with Product Engineers when quality issues require product decisions

• Track quality metrics: defect escape rate, test coverage, regression pass rates

• Collaborate with Software Architect on code quality vs. test quality intersection

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience inSoftware Quality Assurance, with strong experience in test strategy, planning, execution, and quality management.

• Advanced expertise in test strategy and planning, quality metrics, defect analysis, root cause investigation, regression testing, and exploratory testing.

• Strong hands-on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Advanced knowledge of API testing using Postman, Swagger, and RESTful APIs.

• Strong SQL/database knowledge, including SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, and other common database operations.

• Proven experience in test documentation and test case design, preferably using Qase or similar test management tools.

• Strong experience with bug identification, tracking, triage, and reporting, preferably using JIRA.

• Ability to perform UI/UX validation and effectively use browser Developer Tools for troubleshooting and testing.

• Advanced knowledge of test automation architecture and experience designing scalable automation frameworks.

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Bitbucket.

• Strong understanding of automated test execution, monitoring, and reporting.

• Advanced proficiency with Git/version control.

• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python or JavaScript, with the ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.

• Experience configuring and working with AI-powered QA/QA Engineer agents, including agent configuration and workflow integration.

• Ability to assess AI agent quality, accuracy, reliability, and test outcomes.

• Strong prompt engineering skills, particularly for QA and test automation use cases.

• Experience with AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity is preferred.

• Experience with Claude (Anthropic) is a strong plus.

• Demonstrated experience in team management, technical mentoring, and coaching QA engineers.

• Strong ability to optimize QA processes, improve testing efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.

• Good understanding of software development concepts and technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and PHP.

• Excellent quality reporting and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Development, and other teams.

• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to identifying and preventing quality issues.
