Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Protection Manager to lead a KP protection project, based in Peshawar with travel to districts. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with partners to ensure protection outcomes and MEAL compliance.

Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement are essential. Required: Master’s degree and 5+ years in protection-focused project management, English and Urdu fluency (Pashto preferred), and experience with displaced communities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in project management, social sciences, or a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on protection.
Experience coordinating with community-based committees and protection case management.
Experience working with vulnerable displaced populations and with partners including government, donors, INGOs, UN agencies.

Responsibilities

Oversee the protection project across five districts in KP from IRC’s Peshawar office.
Supervise project staff, manage budgets, and ensure program administration and MEAL compliance.
Maintain coordination with donors, government, UN agencies, and other stakeholders.
Develop and monitor implementation plans, budgets, and reporting for protection activities.
Support capacity-building for field staff and ensure staff wellbeing.
