The job holder will be working as a team member in the Field Office to assist in all matters related to the school meal programming in the targeted districts of Sindh. The Monitoring Associate will report directly to the School Meal M&E Officer and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The role is critical in ensuring the quality and accountability of field operations, with a primary focus on monitoring school meal activities. The incumbent will play a key role in verifying implementation progress, identifying gaps, and supporting evidence-based decision-making to enhance programme effectiveness.PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: To coordinate monitoring activities across Sindh and provide timely reports that support the effective delivery of school meals assistance. The Programme Associate (M&E) ensures project oversight and accountability under the guidance of technical staff at various levels.KEYRESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide technical support in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of school meals activities, ensuring alignment with WFP programme objectives, M&E frameworks, and operational guidelines. 2. Support the management and monitoring of school meals projects to ensure activities are implemented according to established plans, targets, and WFP policies and procedures. 3. Prepare and analyze monitoring reports, field findings, beneficiary data, and programme performance indicators, highlighting issues and recommending corrective actions where required. 4. Ensure accurate and timely collection, verification, recording, and management of monitoring data related to school meals implementation, maintaining data quality and consistency for reporting purposes. 5. Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of school meals activities across target locations. 6. Coordinate and communicate with schools, cooperating partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders to support monitoring activities, verify programme delivery, and address implementation challenges. 7. Support the capacity strengthening of WFP staff, cooperating partners, school personnel, and government counterparts on monitoring tools, data collection processes, and reporting requirements. 8. Serve as a focal point for routine monitoring and reporting queries, providing guidance and resolving operational issues within the school meals programme. 9. Support the supervision and quality assurance of field monitoring activities, including reviewing data and providing practical guidance to monitoring personnel and partners to ensure compliance with agreed standards. 10. Ensure that WFP’s data protection policy is being properly implemented at field level by respective cooperating partners 11. Perform other related duties or assignments in line with the position level and expertise as assigned by the school meals team.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Completion of secondary school education. First level University Degree (Bachelor’s) in social sciences, public health/nutrition, project management, development studies or any one of these disciplines or equivalents is desirable.Experience: Minimum experience of 6 years in project cycle management, monitoring implementation and data collection, processing and analysis systems.Knowledge & Skills: Strong statistical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Ability to work in Excel and database management softwareLanguages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu.
