Job summary

Ministry of National Food Security and Research in Islamabad seeks a senior program leader with 15+ years of experience in development programs, preferably in animal health or public health sectors. The role involves managing resources, coordinating large-scale programs, and ensuring timely deliverables across PSDP projects.

The candidate should hold a DVM or equivalent, with advanced degrees in Epidemiology or Public Health; MBA/PM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree recognized by the relevant regulatory authority.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Veterinary Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field; Veterinary/Public Health qualification asset.
• MBA/Master in Project Management/MPA preferred for experience in executing similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish sound management, supervision and monitoring within the program for planning, coordination, reporting, financial management, M&E and troubleshooting.
• Capacitate the FPMU and PPMUs including recruitment, account opening, operation and management of FPMU with implementing partners.
• Ensure resources are available for timely and smooth program activities.
• Develop liaison with stakeholders, conduct media management and implement communication/training strategy.
• Lead annual work plan and budget (AWPB) and procurement plan and secure approvals.
