Job summary

PsychPlus seeks a Product Designer to shape healthcare product experiences across EHR, patient-facing and operational workflows. You will partner with Product, Engineering and clinicians to translate complex requirements into intuitive, scalable designs.

The role emphasizes design systems, reusable patterns, WCAG accessibility, and cross-product consistency through a mature design system and React integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Design or UX/UI Design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex product and workflow design.
• Advanced Figma skills, particularly Auto Layout, components, variants, properties, libraries, and prototyping.
• Strong understanding of design systems and component-driven design.
• Experience designing for healthcare or complex enterprise workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end experiences across EHR, patient, scheduling, clinical, and operational workflows.
• Translate complex healthcare and business requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI.
• Collaborate with clinicians and Product Managers to understand user problems before solving them.
• Work with Engineering throughout the design and implementation process.
• Utilize and contribute to the PsychPlus Figma Design System for new features.
• Create scalable components, variants, states, and interaction patterns to avoid one-off solutions.
• Ensure consistency between Figma components and Engineering’s React component library.
• Document all relevant states including loading, empty, error, disabled, hover, focus, success, and permission-based states.
• Design responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile and apply WCAG accessibility principles.
• Maintain design documentation and source-of-truth flows for clear understanding by Product and Engineering.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to designers.
• Review implemented features with Engineering to close gaps between design and production.

PsychPlus is looking for a Product Designer to help design and improve our healthcare products across EHR, patient-facing, and operational experiences.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, clinical stakeholders, and other designers to turn complex healthcare requirements into clear and practical user experiences.

A strong understanding of design systems is essential. PsychPlus has multiple products and complex workflows, so we need someone who can think beyond individual screens and design reusable patterns that create consistency across the wider product ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Design end-to-end experiences across PsychPlus products, including EHR, patient, scheduling, clinical, and operational workflows.


• Translate complex healthcare and business requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI.


• Work closely with clinicians and Product Managers to understand user problems before moving into solutions.


• Collaborate directly with Engineering throughout the design and implementation process.


• Use and contribute to the PsychPlus Figma Design System when designing new features.


• Create scalable components, variants, states, and interaction patterns instead of introducing unnecessary one-off solutions.


• Maintain consistency between Figma components and Engineering’s React component library.


• Understand when to reuse an existing component, extend an existing pattern, or propose a new component.


• Design and document all relevant states, including loading, empty, error, disabled, hover, focus, success, and permission-based states.


• Consider how component changes may affect other PsychPlus products and workflows.


• Design responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.


• Apply WCAG accessibility principles across designs and reusable components.


• Maintain clear design documentation and source-of-truth flows so Product and Engineering can confidently understand the intended experience.


• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to other designers.


• Review implemented features and work with Engineering to resolve gaps between design and production.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Product Design or UX/UI Design experience.


• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex product and workflow design.


• Advanced Figma skills, particularly Auto Layout, components, variants, properties, variables, libraries, and prototyping.


• Strong understanding of design systems and component-driven design.


• Experience working with or contributing to a mature design system.


• Understanding of how design systems translate into front-end component libraries such as React.


• Strong UX fundamentals, including user flows, information architecture, interaction design, usability, and responsive behavior.


• Experience designing complex forms, tables, dashboards, workflows, and information-dense interfaces.


• Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.


• Ability to think through edge cases and different user roles, permissions, states, and scenarios.


• Comfortable working closely with Product Managers and Engineers in an Agile environment.


• Ability to explain and defend design decisions using user needs, product context, evidence, and technical constraints.
