Job summary

Octus is a leading global provider of credit intelligence, data, and analytics. We are seeking a Private Credit Analyst to maintain financial models and capital structure data across a growing universe of BDCs and other closed-end private credit funds.

The Analyst will apply strong analytical skills and financial statement fluency to produce recurring data-heavy deliverables on a quarterly schedule, supporting Octus's coverage of the private credit market.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret financial statements and translate drivers into models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in credit markets or financial markets more broadly.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new skills to grow professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain three-statement financial models for a portfolio of 40-50 BDCs reporting quarterly.
• Upload and maintain capital structure data.
• Produce portfolio updates and summaries aligned to each company’s reporting cadence.
• Track financing activity across the BDC market, logging new reported financing from banks and other lenders, including cost of capital and provider details.
• Contribute to full private credit coverage used in individual company analysis, published reports, and site content, including expansion of quarterly trend reports to incorporate financing activity overviews.
• Respond to recurring data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
