Octus is seeking a Private Credit Analyst to maintain financial models and capital structure data for a growing set of BDCs and private credit funds. The role supports coverage with strong analytical skills and fluency in financial statements, delivering data-heavy work on a recurring schedule.

The ideal candidate will interpret financial statements, translate drivers into quantitative models, and contribute to reports and site content.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, accounting, or finance.
• Ability to interpret financial statements to evaluate performance and translate drivers into models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Interest in credit markets or financial markets.
• Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain three-statement financial models for a portfolio of 40–50 BDCs reporting quarterly.
• Upload and maintain capital structure data.
• Produce portfolio updates and summaries aligned to each company’s reporting cadence.
• Track financing activity across the BDC market, logging new reported financing details.
• Contribute to private credit coverage used in reports and site content.
• Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
