Job summary

Nextbridge in Lahore seeks a skilled Machinist/Fabricator to operate lathe and milling machines, perform welding and mechanical fitting, and work from engineering drawings to produce precise components. You will maintain tools and ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a relevant Diploma/Certificate, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize fabrication tasks in a workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Machining or a relevant trade.
• 2–5 years of hands-on machining, welding and fitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up lathe and milling machines for precision machining tasks.
• Perform welding (arc/MIG/TIG as applicable) for fabrication and repair work.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly, including drilling, grinding, and alignment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain machines, tools, and workshop equipment in proper working condition.
• Ensure jobs are completed to required specifications and within deadlines.
• Troubleshoot machining and fitting issues and suggest improvements.
• Comply with workshop safety standards and safe operation of machinery.
