Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Machining or a relevant trade.
• 2–5 years of hands-on machining, welding and fitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up lathe and milling machines for precision machining tasks.
• Perform welding (arc/MIG/TIG as applicable) for fabrication and repair work.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly, including drilling, grinding, and alignment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain machines, tools, and workshop equipment in proper working condition.
• Ensure jobs are completed to required specifications and within deadlines.
• Troubleshoot machining and fitting issues and suggest improvements.
• Comply with workshop safety standards and safe operation of machinery.

The role involves operating Lathe and Milling machines, carrying out Welding tasks, and performing mechanical fitting and assembly. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in machining and fabrication, with the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high‑quality components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
