Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced Textile Consultant to identify fabric defects, optimize cutting/sewing, and provide technical solutions to minimize losses. The role requires hands-on textile manufacturing experience and on-site work in a Honduras-based facility.

You will analyze quality reports, develop CAPA plans, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve technical disputes while driving continuous improvement in fabric quality and production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in textile manufacturing, fabric quality, or related technical operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of textile processes, fabric manufacturing and garment production.
• Proven experience in fabric defect identification, quality inspection, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of cutting, sewing, garment assembly, and fabric transformation processes.
• Experience with AQL quality standards, technical inspections, and corrective action methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing teams, customers, and external suppliers.
• Availability to work on-site in a textile manufacturing environment.
• Willing to relocate to Honduras.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of fabric defects (shade, weight, stability, colorfastness, contamination).
• Evaluate cutting, sewing, and garment production to spot quality issues.
• Analyze inspection reports, AQLs, lab tests, rejections and reprocessing.
• Develop technical solutions and corrective actions to reduce waste and losses.
• Establish fabric acceptance criteria and implement CAPA.
• Coordinate with customers, manufacturers, and suppliers to resolve disputes.
• Prepare reports and KPIs, plus statistical analyses for improvements.
• Support process optimization and ensure adherence to quality standards.
