Job summary

Mayatax is seeking an Accounting Associate to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure accurate financial records for client portfolios. You will support the month-end close, prepare journal entries, and maintain compliance with client policies while leveraging ERP systems like QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CA part-qualified or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of core accounting experience.
• Experience in multi-location, retail, corporate, or shared services preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups).
• Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, data entry, and expense coding with high accuracy.
• Manage transactional workflows across ledgers and accounts payable/receivable.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor statements, and balances.
• Support month-end close, tracking accruals and prepayments, and journal entries.
• Compile financial data to prepare accurate reports for client review.
• Work with client accounting platforms and ERP systems while following controls.
• Coordinate with client management and teams to ensure timely, accurate data flow.
