Position Title: Staff Accountant
Job Type: Onsite (Lahore/Islamabad) | Timing: US Time Zone (EST)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic project accounting team. The position will report to the Project Accounting Manager and will be responsible for month‑end functions, working with the project accounting team, and assisting with the Company’s financial statements preparation under US GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Drive the project accounting month‑end close processes, including the monthly preparation and review of all journal entries, schedule reconciliations, and TB reviews.
- Prepare quarterly reporting packages, including financials, DSCR, distributions, operating reports, and other reporting requirements as necessary.
- Work closely with the treasury operations team and provide a timely weekly review of subcash and monthly review of bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare and maintain various schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures.
- Collaborate with various business units to gather information and ensure accurate disclosures in the Company’s financial statements.
- Assist in implementation of new accounting standards and processes related to the ERP system.
- Provide suggestions and support for process improvements/efficiencies.
- Assist with requests from external auditors to provide necessary documentation and information for audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance / CA / ACCA.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant public accounting experience and combined industry and public accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to independently perform research to propose solutions for accounting issues.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications, advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP systems.
- Excellent communication in English (both oral and written).
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a close‑knit team.
- Solid relationship‑building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
