Job summary

XTIUM is seeking a Network Engineer for its remote Pakistan team. The role focuses on escalation, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network issues, with responsibilities across incident management, change control, and CSI initiatives. You will work with a global NOC and associate engineers to maintain high availability.

The position requires 5+ years in network engineering, CCNP or equivalent certs, ITIL v4 Foundation, and a readiness to mentor peers while supporting on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical network engineering role.
• Strong ability to design and secure complex enterprise networks.
• Experience with data center infrastructure and enterprise routing/firewall configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provide issue escalation support for NOC and Associate Network Engineers for critical incidents.
• Gather information to diagnose issues, drive to resolution, and identify root causes.
• Complete service requests, network implementations, migrations, and change management activities.
• Identify opportunities for Continual Service Improvement (CSI) to optimize security, efficiency, and cost/performance.
• Document customer issues, communications, steps taken, and current status in ServiceNow.
• Lead resolution of highly complex issues escalated by Network Engineering; mentor juniors.
• Provide on-call support for Tier 2 technical issues.

What Qualifies You* Highly advanced technical experience in network design, route distribution, firewall configuration, data center infrastructure of the most complex customer networks across enterprise environments.* Highly organized with the ability to execute on multiple technical tasks simultaneously.* 5+ years’ experience working in a technical environment as a Network Engineer.* Demonstrated aptitude as a network engineer in a Managed Services environment.* Certifications: CCNP or equivalent certifications required; multiple CCNP or equivalent experience preferred. + Self-starter!
