Job summary

Zameen is seeking an experienced MEP Site Engineer to lead the execution, supervision and coordination of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and ELV works at the construction site in Lahore. The role ensures all installations follow approved drawings, project specs, quality standards and safety regulations while meeting project timelines.

You will review drawings, raise RFIs, coordinate with civil, architectural and structural teams, monitor progress, support planning, and assist testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or DAE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise MEP works on site per drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural and structural teams to avoid clashes.
• Raise RFIs and manage material delivery against submittals.
• Monitor daily progress and support planning to meet milestones.
• Assist testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance on site.
• Maintain site records and support BOQ variations.

Job description

The MEP Site Engineer is responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works at the construction site. The role ensures that all MEP installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, while meeting project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Execution & Supervision
• Supervise all MEP works including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Ensure execution as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor daily site activities and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
• Technical Coordination
• Review MEP drawings and resolve site-related technical issues.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to avoid clashes.
• Raise RFIs (Request for Information) where required.
• Material & Quality Control
• Check material delivery against approved submittals and BOQ.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of MEP materials on site.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Progress Monitoring
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress of MEP works.
• Support planning team in achieving project milestones.
• Report delays, risks, and site issues to senior management.
• Testing & Commissioning
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handing over of MEP systems.
• Ensure proper documentation of all testing activities (pressure tests, insulation tests, etc.).
• Safety Compliance
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with HSE standards.
• Promote safe working practices at site.
• Documentation
• Maintain site records, installation reports, inspection checklists, and as-built data.
• Support preparation of BOQ variations and material demands.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree / DAE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP construction projects.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Preferred Experience:

• High-rise residential
• Experience in finishing and installation stages
