Dr Frigz is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to bridge the gap between design and production, focusing on surgical instruments and CNC fixtures. You will drive manufacturing efficiency through advanced technologies and rigorous quality standards.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing. Strong CAD skills, along with a knowledge of CNC machining and 3D printing, are essential.
As a Mechanical Engineer at Dr. Frigz, you will bridge the gap between design and production. You will be responsible for designing surgical instruments, developing high‑precision CNC fixtures, optimizing manufacturing processes, and utilizing advanced materials and 3D printing technologies to enhance production efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Product & Tooling Design: Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) to create, modify, and optimize 3D models and engineering drawings for surgical instruments, specialized tooling, and manufacturing fixtures.
Manufacturing Process Optimization: Analyze existing production workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and implement mechanical or automated solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.
Prototyping & Advanced Manufacturing: Oversee the prototyping phase using 3D printing (including high‑performance polymers/composites) and traditional machining to validate designs before full‑scale production.
Fixture & Jig Development: Design and test robust CNC fixtures to ensure high repeatability and precision during multi‑axis machining operations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the production, quality assurance, and automation teams to ensure designs align with international medical device standards (ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
Data‑Driven Problem Solving: Analyze production KPIs and equipment downtime data to implement preventive maintenance schedules and continuous improvement protocols.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in medical devices, precision machining, or automotive parts manufacturing is a strong plus).
