Job summary

Wärtsilä Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. invites a Mechanical Engineer with extensive maintenance experience to lead plant upkeep and efficiency. The role focuses on training, planning, budgeting, and safe operation across rotary engines and auxiliary systems at SNPC Nooriabad, Pakistan.

You will oversee scheduling, procedures, and team supervision, ensuring quality and reliability in a challenging industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on maintenance experience of internal combustion engines.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments used in engine work.
• Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment standards.
• Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain maintenance training standards for personnel.
• Prepare annual plant maintenance plan and budgets with the Superior.
• Carry out tasks with minimal downtime while maintaining quality.
• Establish and implement standard O&M policies and procedures.
• Supervise the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Schedule overhauls and coordinate normal and forced outages.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting and maintaining the maintenance specific training standards for personnel.
• Responsible for preparing Annual plant maintenance plan and maintenance budgets in conjunction with the Superior.
• Responsible to carryout tasks with minimum down time while maintaining quality.
• Prepare bench marks for routine activities in terms of man hours.
• Implementation of technical bulletins and service letters relevant to designated site.
• Carry out any other task assigned over the period by Manager Mechanical.
• Establish and implement standard O&M Policies and Procedures according to Wärtsilä Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. and Wärtsilä Finland requirements.
• Supervise plant mechanical maintenance team to ensure that the plant facility and equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient operating conditions at all times.
• Assist the Superior in scheduling the overhauls.
• Provide schedules for normal operating periods, planned and forced outages to plant maintenance team and contractor personnel
• Establish, implement and manage all maintenance aspects of the power plant using total quality management techniques, inclusive of :

• a. Planned engine & auxiliary maintainance
• b. Unplanned engine & auxiliary maintenance
• c. Plant inventory management
• d. Maintenance reporting
• e. Maintenance training
• f. Spare parts inventory quality assurance
• g.Maintenance history management

Graduation Mechanical with 10 years of relevant experience
