Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Marathi Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, trainer performance, and consistency across Marathi AI training projects. The role requires sharp attention to detail, strong Marathi and English skills, and remote collaboration with distributed teams.

You will review AI-generated content, provide precise feedback, maintain style guides and rubrics, and help onboard and activate contributors while ensuring projects meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marathi or a related field.
• Native or near-native Marathi proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English proficiency to follow guidelines and provide feedback.
• 3+ years of professional Marathi writing, editing, translation, or QA experience.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs.
• Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
• Attention to detail and structured communication.
• Experience with AI training or rubric-based QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Marathi items, identify quality issues, provide ongoing feedback through DMs, and escape recurring or critical issues.
• Trainer and QA communication: Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new item guidelines, project changes, workflow updates, and quality expectations.
• Question handling: Respond to trainer/QA questions clearly and promptly, especially around Marathi wording, register, translation fidelity, cultural context, regional usage, and edge cases.
• Trainer/QA activation management: DM contributors who are inactive or not working, encourage activation, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues when needed.
• Documentation: Create and maintain Marathi project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Onboarding and training: Schedule and run onboarding/training calls with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, workflows, rubrics, quality standards, and Marathi-specific style requirements.
• Quality alignment: Ensure all trainers and QAs apply Marathi language guidelines consistently and understand updates as projects evolve.
• Process improvement: Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes for Marathi-language projects.
