Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Persian (Farsi) Quality Assurance Lead for an hourly, remote contractor position to oversee quality across Persian AI training projects. You will review AI-generated content and trainer work, provide precise feedback, and ensure adherence to project guidelines.

This role requires strong Persian/Farsi and English skills, meticulous attention to detail, and structured communication to manage quality workflows across remote teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Persian, Farsi, linguistics, translation, or related field.
• Native or near-native Persian/Farsi with strong reading and writing.
• Strong English to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years of professional Persian/Farsi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
• Strong understanding of Persian/Farsi grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, cultural context, and RTL formatting.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs preferred.
• Comfortable working with Discord, Google Docs/Sheets, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: Spot-check Persian/Farsi items, identify quality issues, provide ongoing feedback.
• Communicate guidelines and workflow updates to trainers and QAs.
• Respond to trainer/QA questions clearly, especially around Persian wording, translation fidelity, cultural context, RTL formatting, and edge cases.
• Activate inactive contributors and manage follow-ups when needed.
• Create and maintain Persian/Farsi project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and run onboarding/training calls explaining expectations, rubrics, and script requirements.
• Ensure consistent language guideline application across projects and evolving updates.
• Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Persian/Farsi projects.
