Job summary

Syngenta Pakistan seeks an experienced warehouse and logistics professional to oversee issuing materials, maintain stock accuracy, and ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate with procurement, production, QC and finance to ensure timely material availability and safe operations.

The role requires strong leadership, risk assessment abilities, and a track record of improving warehouse processes through RI and QC initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, transportation safety, and inventory control.
• Well-versed in Pakistan's laws and regulations governing the storage of chemicals and petroleum products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely issuance of materials per production plans.
• Ensure stock levels match SAP records.
• Identify and manage slow/non-moving and expired ingredients and materials.
• Participate in ROP and Pre-S&OP meetings and implement actions.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure availability of materials at site.
• Utilize warehouse space effectively and apply best practices.
• Report discrepancies in dispatches to upcountry warehouses; escalate incidents.
• Ensure dispatches comply with Load Security guidelines and optimize transport.
• Report material usage to Supply and Finance teams as required.
• Coordinate with Supply, Finance, Production, QC for customs/ excise reports.
• Develop annual training matrix for warehouse staff (TNA).
• Promote a strong HSE culture in all activities.
• Conduct risk assessments (WRA, HRA, JSA) for warehouse activities.
• Participate in RI management and QC improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Syngenta HSE protocols.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely issuance of packaging materials, raw materials, auxiliary materials, and bulk products as per production requirements and plans.
• Ensure that physical stock levels match SAP records.
• Ensure proper identification and complete information for slow-moving, non-moving, and expired active ingredients (AIs), auxiliary materials, and finished products.
• Participate in ROP and Pre-S&OP meetings and ensure actions are implemented in line with agreed decisions and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate effectively with Indirect Procurement and Direct Procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of packaging materials, products, active ingredients, and auxiliary materials at the site.
• Ensure the effective utilization of warehouse space and the implementation of best warehouse management practices.
• Coordinate with the Supply Team to report any discrepancies in dispatches to upcountry warehouses. Immediately report distribution incidents (theft, leakage, missing items, etc.) to the Site Manager, HSE Manager, and Supply Manager.
• Ensure that all dispatches comply with Regional Load Security Guidelines and maximize truck/container utilization to achieve transportation efficiencies.
• Ensure timely reporting of material consumption to the Supply Team and, where required, to the Finance Team.
• Coordinate with Supply, Finance, Production, and QC teams (as required) for the timely submission of customs and excise reports.
• Develop and maintain an annual training matrix for warehouse staff based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
• Embed and promote a strong HSE culture in all warehouse activities.
• Conduct risk assessments (WRA, HRA, and JSA) for warehouse activities involving potential risks, in coordination with the HSE Manager and designated risk assessors.
• Actively participate in and support site initiatives and continuous improvement projects related to RI management and QC improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE protocols and guidelines established by Syngenta.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, transportation safety, and inventory control, including the management of inbound, outbound, and quarantine goods. Well-versed in Pakistan's laws and regulations governing the storage of chemicals and petroleum products, including the Pakistan Petroleum Rules.
