Job summary

PMIC seeks a Manager – Portfolio Management to oversee its portfolio of borrower institutions, including NBMFIs and Microfinance Banks. You will drive the full credit lifecycle from appraisal to repayment, with a focus on portfolio quality and borrower growth.

Responsibilities include relationship management, field visits, credit proposals, financial modelling, covenant monitoring, and reporting to stakeholders. Some travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • BBA/BSc or MBA in Finance and/or Accounting is required.
  • CA/ACCA/CA qualified or part-qualified candidates preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, portfolio management and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with assigned portfolio institutions.
  • Coordinate meetings between borrowers, PMIC senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct field visits to head offices and branches and prepare visit reports.
  • Review funding requests and business plans submitted by borrowers.
  • Assess borrowers under PMIC’s Institutional Rating System and prepare credit proposals.
  • Develop financial models to assess institutional and portfolio performance.
  • Ensure timely disbursements and repayments and monitor covenant compliance.
  • Prepare internal/external stakeholder reports and new product notes.
  • Engage and onboard MFIs with no active PMIC relationship.
  • Conduct due diligence of institutions offering innovative financial products.
  • Support development of Islamic financing solutions and expansion of Islamic finance portfolios.
  • Work on sector development and research initiatives, including climate change, renewable energy and housing.
