Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:
MANAGER INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION (MECHANICAL) SOUTH –
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CONSTRUCTION
Job Role
To lead, plan, manage and oversee all phases of assigned projects for timely development and upgradation of Fuel storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide scoping and cost estimation support to drive Capital Budget development for indenting departments
- Ensure PR package preparation for all assigned mechanical projects as per tendering requirements and stipulated timelines
- Explore emerging technologies and economically viable options to optimize project quality, cost, and scheduling
- Ensure completion of technical bid evaluations swiftly within stipulated timelines
- Implement action plan, monitor project progress against schedules and take necessary corrective action in case of variance to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all projects
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams comprising Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation, HSE, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Audit and other relevant functions to ensure integrated project delivery
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with Work Orders, SOPs, Engineering Standards, HSE requirements, management guidelines, and applicable statutory laws, codes, and regulations
- Supervise and ensure quality of works, materials, and equipment; ensure formal closure of projects and maintain accurate project records/electronic databases
- Perform design review, final inspection of the project to identify any issue in quality of workmanship and maintains measurement book, project log books at site as per the actual work executed
- Coordinate with indenting departments to process " Management of change" of assigned projects
- After completion of project manage project handing over activity to the owner department along with relevant drawings, operations & maintenance manuals, catalogues, brochures, warranty certificates, operating procedures, leftover material and spares etc. (as applicable)
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and other related documents as per the prevalent company process
- Provide audit responses and discuss key lesson learnt of all executed projects with relevant teams to optimize future project frameworks
- Undertake any other task or function as may be assigned by the Management
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university/institution or equivalent foreign qualification
- Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related discipline will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 6 - 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience, among which 2 – 5 years related functional experience in managing medium to large-scale mechanical projects. Experience in petroleum/oil & gas infrastructure, terminals, pipelines, storage tanks and associated facilities will be preferred.
Key Requirements
- Provide technical support in development of indenting department capital budget and ensure its execution
- Maintain regular contact with Indenting & Support departments, Consultants and Contractors etc.
- Coordination with other functions including HSE and Audit for smooth and efficient execution of projects
