Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT POSITION – PLANNING AND SCHEDULING
Job Role
To plan and organize project costs and schedules to ensure efficient project controls during the development and upgrade of Storage and Retail Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and execute centralized planning, scheduling, and total budget management encompassing both Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Revenue Expenditure (REVEX)
- Prepare comprehensive project schedules as per standard Engineering practices taking into consideration the durations, execution sequence and interdependencies of various supplies, engineering deliverables and site work which will be adhered by Construction contractors during execution of projects
- Update and maintain project schedules continuously based on verified inputs from site teams and contractors
- Generate schedule performance analytics including S-curves, variance analyses, forecasts, and look-ahead schedule to communicate project health and recovery plans to stakeholders for data-driven decision-making
- Conduct field visits and physical site assessments to validate reported project milestones, constraints, and physical readiness
- Monitor end-to-end project execution against established baselines, developing proactive tracking strategies and recovery plans to prevent delays and optimize delivery efficiency
- Prepare and distribute periodic progress updates and performance dashboards for the entire project portfolio
- Undertake any other task or function as may be assigned by the Management
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education having Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university or institution
- Certification of Primavera and/or MS project training. Candidate having completed training of primavera will be preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 – 4 years of project scheduling/ planning experience, among which 1- 2 years of related functional experience of site supervision services related to Construction / Rehabilitation of POL Steel Storage Tanks and/ or pipeline construction projects
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; strong command of MS Excel (advanced formulas, macro automation). Command on ERP software (SAP/Oracle) will be an additional advantage
Key Requirements
- Use Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling to develop and update project schedules
- Monitor and manage budget and status reports for all projects handled by the department
- Occasional site visits for supervision of construction activities
- Maintain close coordination with Indenting, Retail, Operations, Support Departments and Contractors for efficient project monitoring
Age
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of the last date of submission of application
