Contour Software seeks a Manager, Finance Operations and Controllership in Karachi. The role leads month-end close, maintains accurate financials, and collaborates with Corporate, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure timely reporting.

You will oversee AR/AP, fixed assets, leases under IFRS 16, and accounting policies while building a high-performing finance team and driving process improvements across the function.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of leadership experience in finance.
• Strong IFRS 15 & IFRS 16 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes.

The successful candidate will have strong accounting knowledge in the software industry, experience with leading a team, be responsible for month-end / quarter-end close and accurately maintain financial records, prepare and oversee deliverables to other teams (i.e. Corporate, Internal Audit, Tax) and external parties (i.e. External Auditors), and have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within an organization. The Manager will have excellent communication, business, and analytical skills. This individual is efficient, resourceful, and could lead a team to accomplish the financial and operational reporting needs of the organization. **Responsibilities*** Have a strong understanding of processes to lead the team in maintaining accurate financials for the business, including:* AR aging and reporting following CSI policies* Billings and collections data* Fixed Assets Management* Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations* Payables management; ensure compliance with the invoice approval process* Treasury management (cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, collections)* Review customer contracts and assess IFRS 15 impact — including variable consideration, contract modifications, and multi-element arrangements — ensuring appropriate entries are booked and judgment positions are consistently applied and documented* Maintain journal entry review and approval standards, ensuring appropriate support, threshold-based review, and timely clearing of reconciling items* Own lease accounting under IFRS 16, including ROU asset and lease liability calculations, remeasurements, and reconciliations* Train and organize the finance team that supports the financial reporting processes, while ensuring SOPs are updated and maintained for each task/process.* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, goal setting, and performance reviews of the finance team.* Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to maintain accurate financial records is a plus.* Draft and maintain accounting policy memos for significant or judgmental transactions (e.g., revenue arrangements, lease treatments, one-off transactions) to support audit-readiness and consistency* Develop strong team cohesion through continuous contact with team members in the form of regularly scheduled one on ones, and team meetings.
