Job summary

A leading construction firm in Lahore is seeking a Construction Manager with extensive experience in managing high-rise building projects. The role involves overseeing the construction schedule, ensuring quality workmanship, and fostering effective communication between contractors and the management. Candidates must have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 8 to 12 years of experience in construction, and valid PEC registration. This position offers opportunities to lead significant projects and achieve key milestones in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in the construction field, including various aspects of high-rise buildings.
• PEC registered for professional engineering practice.
• PEC registered (Pakistan Engineering Council)

Responsibilities

• Deliver construction projects in compliance with the schedule.
• Monitor cost control and manage resources efficiently.
• Ensure quality of work and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide timely updates on project progress to management.
• Facilitating contractor queries, process of work, and achieving milestones including monthly billing requisites.
• Timely delivery of materials from the Employer and site management.
• Ensuring quality of work, adequate manpower, and use of materials within permissible limits.
• Monitoring and providing timely progress updates to management.
• Coordination between Head Office and Site.

Job description

Main Responsibilities:

• Delivery of construction projects in compliance with the approved construction schedule.
• Creating plans of action for the contractors and keeping a close eye on cost control.
• Executing Work as per drawings, specifications, Appendixes, and with utmost health and safety perimeters.
• Overseeing any Hurdle, risks, and obstacles that may halt the progress of work.
• Facilitating Contractor, Acquiring Clarity on RFI’s, Process of work, and achieving key milestones including Full filling all the 6. Monthly Billing requisites for further and timely proceedings.
• Timely demanding, acquiring, and delivering of materials from the Employer, along with managing the Site.
• Ensuring Quality of Work and better workmanship, and adequate manpower, including utilization of material as per permissible limits.
• Monitoring and Timely updates on the progress of work to management.
• Managing coordination between Head office and Site.

Soft Skills Requirements:

• Being able to listen attentively and understand the needs and concerns of others is crucial for effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Inspiring and motivating the construction team to work effectively and meet project deadlines.

• 8 to 12 years of experience in construction field including grey, MEP and finishing of high-rise buildings, shopping malls, 5-star hotels etc.
