Job summary

INTECH Automation Intelligence seeks a Lead Process Engineer to drive APC/MPC implementations across industrial sectors, including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Mining. You will lead FEED and detailed engineering, perform site surveys, and develop models and KPI-based performance improvements.

The role requires strong process engineering fundamentals, experience with APC/MPC platforms, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams on fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6-8 years of relevant process engineering experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in process optimization, APC, MPC, process control, or plant performance engineering.
• Experience in mining, cement, metals, or other continuous process industries is strongly preferred.
• Experience with APC/MPC platforms such as Aspen DMC3, Honeywell Profit, Yokogawa APC, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities for FEED, detailed engineering, and digital solution projects involving APC.
• Conduct site surveys, process walkdowns, data collection, and performance assessments.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, operating philosophies, and historical plant data to inform APC/ MPC strategies.
• Establish process envelopes, constraints, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and validate baseline KPIs for APC performance evaluation.
• Translate objectives into MPC/APC control strategies and optimization objectives.
• Support development and validation of dynamic and multivariable process models.
• Review and optimize APC models with APC engineers and clients.
