Job summary

Descon Engineering Limited, based in Lahore, is seeking a Lead - Payroll to oversee monthly payroll for non-management employees, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.

The role requires strong expertise in payroll processing, salary administration, statutory compliance, and HR systems, with leadership to guide the payroll team and coordinate with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
• Masters degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing for non-management employees.
• Verify attendance, overtime, leaves, allowances, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
• Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, final settlements, arrears, and other employee payments.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and Admin to resolve payroll-related matters.
• Oversee processing of employee advances, loans, bonuses and other payments.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, income tax, EOBI and statutory requirements.
• Address employee payroll queries and resolve salary discrepancies.
• Support internal and external payroll audits and provide relevant information.
• Guide and supervise the payroll team to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline. Preferably Masters.
