Job summary

vasl-talent is seeking a Lead Mechanical Estimator to manage full bidding and pre-construction for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects in Islamabad. You will lead estimating from concept to closeout, performing take-offs, cost analysis, and developing competitive proposals.

This leadership role requires a hands-on mentor who reads drawings, coordinates with GC teams, and leverages Accubid, PlanSwift, Trimble, BlueBeam, and ProCore to build accurate budgets and cash flow projections.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mechanical construction estimating (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Experience with estimating software (Accubid, PlanSwift, Trimble, BlueBeam, ProCore).
• Lead and mentor teams; strong communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating from concept to closeout for HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals for scope and cost.
• Prepare bids and budgets; coordinate with project teams.

Lead Mechanical Estimator

Location: Plaza ONE, Next to PSO Pump, Main GT Road, Near DHA Phase 2 Gate 1, Islamabad

Working Hours: 2 PM – 11 PM (Pakistan Standard Time)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Estimator to manage the full bidding and pre-construction process for mechanical projects. This individual will lead estimating efforts from concept to closeout—performing take-offs, analyzing costs, and developing competitive proposals.

This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the mechanical construction process, and enjoys the challenge of winning work through precision and strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the estimating process for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects from start to finish.
• Perform and review detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals for accuracy and scope alignment.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and bid proposals in coordination with project teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Prepare budgets, cash flow projections, and assist with preconstruction planning.

What you bring:

• Several years of experience in mechanical construction estimating(HVAC, plumbing, or process piping).
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, PlanSwift, Trimble, BlueBeam, ProCore.
• Experience collaborating with general contractors, engineers, and project managers.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Leadership mindset and desire to mentor others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
