The Lead IT Infrastructure is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and cloud environments. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of infrastructure systems while leading a team of infrastructure engineers and administrators. The Lead IT Infrastructure works closely with senior leadership to align infrastructure investments with business objectives, drive automation and modernization initiatives, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Job Description
- Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy and architecture in alignment with organizational business objectives.
- Define and maintain infrastructure standards and best practices covering networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and data centers.
- Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and performance of LAN/WAN networks, servers, storage systems, and data center operations.
- Ensure high availability, capacity planning, performance monitoring, infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, and hardware refresh cycles.
- Manage cloud and virtualization environments, including Microsoft 365 administration, cloud governance, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, including backup, redundancy, failover, and regular DR testing.
- Ensure infrastructure security and compliance by collaborating with IT Security and implementing required security policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the infrastructure team while managing vendors, service providers, contractors, SLAs, resources, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage the IT infrastructure budget and provide senior management with regular reporting on performance, risks, incidents, costs, and project progress.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through automation, containerization, emerging technologies, and AI-driven infrastructure operations to improve resilience, scalability, and efficiency.
Experience & Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
