Shangrila Foods (Pvt) Ltd. in Karachi is seeking a Lead Workshop Technician - CNC Lathe & Welding Expert to oversee a small team of two technicians and ensure precision manufacturing in a food production environment.

The role requires expertise in CNC lathe programming, MIG/TIG/Stick welding, mechanical fitting, and machine maintenance, with strong emphasis on safety, PUWER compliance, and accurate documentation using SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Requires at least six years of workshop experience.
• Leads a team of two workshop technicians.
• Experience with SAP and Excel for record-keeping.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise a team of two workshop technicians, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Operate and program CNC and manual lathes to produce high-precision components according to engineering specifications.
• Perform mechanical fitting and assembly work, ensuring accurate alignment and installation of machinery parts and components.
• Carry out welding processes including MIG, TIG, and stick welding in accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Fabricate metal parts and assemblies for production or maintenance activities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machines to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Interpret drawings and documentation to perform repairs, modifications and setups.
• Ensure PUWER compliance and health and safety standards in the workshop.
• Verify workholding, tooling and setups for accuracy and quality of parts.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities using SAP and Excel.
• Participate in rotational shift work to support production activities.
