Job summary

Translation Empire is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team in Islamabad. The role requires hands-on manual and automated testing to ensure quality and performance of our applications before deployment.

You will design and execute test cases, perform functional, regression, and load testing, and develop automated scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to identify defects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with cross-browser testing using BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Familiarity with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in writing test scripts in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and understanding of Agile/DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility across multiple web browsers.
• Perform load and performance testing to assess system stability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on testability and risks.
• Maintain test environments and ensure test data is properly managed.
• Stay up-to-date with latest trends and tools in software testing.
