Job summary

ACCA Careers in Lahore, Pakistan seeks an experienced Tax Senior to assist a portfolio of UK clients. You will support senior managers with partnership tax returns, self-assessment filings, and liaising with HMRC.

This role requires ACCA/CA qualification or close to completion and a proactive, leadership mindset. You will review simple returns, delegate work to Tax Assistants, and provide tax advisory input on capital gains, inheritance, and succession planning.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CA qualification or near completion is preferred.
• Minimum 26 months’ experience providing accounting services to UK clients.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop staff.
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear communication.
• Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred.
• Positive can-do attitude and willingness to develop tax knowledge.
• Good numerical skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Manager on a portfolio of UK clients.
• Prepare Partnership Tax Returns for varied businesses.
• Process Tax Return information and Self-Assessment Returns including trusts.
• Deal with loss relief claims, pension charges and CGT reliefs.
• Complete CGT 60 day returns for residential disposals.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC on tax and NI queries.
• Check statements, repayments, payments and client queries.
• Support tax teams with general administrative tasks and delegation.
• Draft tax advisory assignments (Capital Gains Tax planning, Inheritance Tax, Succession planning).
• At Tax Senior level, review simple returns prepared by Tax Assistants.
• Plan, schedule and delegate work to Tax Assistants and provide feedback.
• Support Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager by liaising with clients and HMRC.
