Job summary

HRSI in Karachi invites applications for a Junior Management position in Infrastructure Construction (Civil). The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and monitoring civil projects to ensure timely development and upgrades of fuel storage infrastructure, with frequent site visits and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds at least 16 years of Civil Engineering education, with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of Civil Engineering education from an HEC-recognized university/institution or equivalent foreign qualification.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related discipline will be an added advantage.
• 3-4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in civil engineering, project execution, construction, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor all phases of assigned civil projects for timely development and upgradation of fuel storage infrastructure.
• Formulate scoping details and cost estimations to drive Capital Budget development for indenting departments.
• Accelerate PR package preparation for all civil projects as per tendering requirements and timelines.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and economically viable options to optimize project quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Execute technical bid evaluations swiftly within stipulated timelines.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Work Orders, SOPs, Engineering Standards, HSE requirements, management guidelines, and applicable statutory laws, codes, and regulations.
• Supervise and ensure quality of works, materials, and equipment; ensure formal closure of projects and maintain accurate project records/electronic databases.
• Harmonize cross-functional stakeholders including contractors, execution teams, and internal customers to resolve field bottlenecks.
• Expedite Goods Issuance (GI) activities to reconcile material inventory for capital projects.
• Perform design review, final inspection of the project to identify any issue in quality of workmanship and prepare measurement books and project logs.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and other related documents as per the prevalent company process.
• Compile audit responses and document project lessons learned to optimize future project frameworks.

Job Role

Education

Key Requirements

• Frequent site visits required to supervise construction activities
• Provide technical support in the development of the indenting department's capital budget and ensure its execution
• Maintain regular contact with Indenting & Support departments and Contractors, etc.
• Coordinate with other functions including HSE and Audit for smooth and efficient execution of Projects
