Job summary

Contour Software, with offices in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, is seeking a Software Developer to design, build and ship features end to end across backend services and web applications. You will work in a SOC2/ISO27001 environment, applying clean architecture and modern AI-assisted development tools.

You will join a growing, globally connected team and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD and robust debugging while exploring new AI-enabled workflows in a cloud-first platform.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building and maintaining applications in C# and .NET.
• Solid SQL skills and hands-on Entity Framework Core experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, message-based architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Excellent debugging and diagnostic ability using logs, traces and telemetry.
• Proven ability to work productively in unfamiliar codebases with limited documentation.
• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted development tooling.
• Genuine enthusiasm for technology and AI, with curiosity about how things work.

Responsibilities

• Work confidently in inherited codebases, tracing and safely extending services.

THE DIVISION:

Delineate has developed unique software that collects each day and every day from real consumers, enabling our clients to access high-quality insights into their brands and advertising campaigns.

THE ROLE:

Our platform is built on modern, cloud-only technology, with a strong focus on innovation, automation and scalability.

We make use of the latest technologies across our platform and engineering practices, and we’re increasingly incorporating AI and machine learning to build smarter features and automate repetitive work. This is an evolving area for us, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape how we apply it.

We are also building a new in-house software development team, and we want highly skilled, motivated and innovative engineers who will help us scale the business and accelerate the pace of high quality software delivery.

As a Software Developer you will be a core member of that team, working hands-on across the platform – from backend services and messaging through to the web applications our clients use every day. You will take features from problem statement to production, and you will spend as much time in code you did not write as in code you did. You will report to our Lead Software Engineer, within an internationally based team, working closely with our product, data and infrastructure colleagues.

The successful hire will work from the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office as part of the resource-center team that is an extension of the division-based R&D department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build and ship features end to end, across backend services, data access and the user-facing application.

• Write clean, well-structured and testable code, applying Clean Architecture principles consistently rather than selectively.

• Work confidently in inherited code, reading, tracing and safely extending services written by others as readily as building something new.

• Investigate defects with rigour, debugging through to root cause rather than treating symptoms.

• Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, keeping changes small and continuously deployable.

• Follow secure coding practices appropriate to a SOC2 / ISO27001 accredited environment.

• Build a working understanding of the market research and brand measurement domain our software serves.

• Make practical use of AI in your own workflow, including agentic development tooling.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

• Strong commercial experience building and maintaining applications in C# and .NET.

• Solid SQL skills and hands-on Entity Framework Core experience, including what the ORM is doing underneath.

• Practical experience of distributed systems and message-based architectures – queues, events and asynchronous processing – and of their failure modes.

• Excellent debugging and diagnostic ability, working from logs, traces and telemetry through to root cause.

• A track record of working productively in unfamiliar codebases, including code with limited documentation or test coverage.

• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted development tooling, with judgement about where they help.

• Genuine enthusiasm for technology and for AI, with an active interest in how things work.

Desirable

• Experience applying Clean Architecture, or a comparable layered or hexagonal approach, on a production codebase.

• Working knowledge of a modern frontend JavaScript framework used with TypeScript.

• Exposure to .NET Aspire for local orchestration and service composition.
