Job summary

Octus is seeking an IT Support Engineer (Fixed Term) to join our global IT team in Islamabad. You will bridge frontline support and engineering, owning escalations and building automation to prevent recurring tickets.

You will work with 900 colleagues across four regions, handling macOS and Windows issues, Intune and Jamf baselines, and Okta workflows while documenting everything in Jira. This six-month contract emphasizes proactive problem solving and automation.

Qualifications

3+ years in IT support or IT engineering with strong escalations experience.
Hands-on troubleshooting across macOS and Windows, including hardware and peripherals.
Experience with Intune, Defender, Google Workspace, and Jamf Pro.
Experience with Okta and lifecycle/access management.
Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
Comfort with Jira and automating repetitive tasks via scripting.

Responsibilities

Escalations and end-user support for the Islamabad office; own tier2/3 issues.
Manage device provisioning, configuration, and deployments; automate where possible.
Administer identity and access in Okta and related apps; support joiner/mover/leaver workflows.
Document diagnostics, resolutions, and runbooks; contribute to continuous improvement.
Pilot new tools and AI assistants to improve automation and resilience.
