Job summary

Octus is seeking a hands-on IT Support Engineer (Fixed Term) to bridge frontline support and engineering from our Islamabad office. You will own escalations, improve endpoint management, and automate repetitive tasks to prevent future tickets.

The role focuses on Windows/macOS, Intune, Jamf Pro, Okta, and 3+ years of IT support experience. You will collaborate across time zones and contribute to a resilient IT stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support or IT engineering, with meaningful time spent on escalations.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting across macOS and Windows, including hardware and peripherals.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Intune and Defender), Google Workspace and Jamf Pro.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site technical owner for the Islamabad office, keeping network, meeting spaces, endpoints and new-hire setups running daily.
• Own tier 2 and 3 escalations across macOS and Windows, from device failures to identity and application issues.
• Troubleshoot escalated problems in Microsoft 365 (Intune/Defender), Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack and the broader app stack.
• Document interactions, diagnostics, and resolutions in Jira to speed up future tickets.
• Identify patterns in the queue and propose fixes to reduce recurring issues.
