Job summary

The Aga Khan University Hospital invites a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to lead the Stadium Road Campus with focus on strategic planning, operational excellence, and financial sustainability. Reporting to the CEO, AKU-HS, you will drive high-quality patient care across clinical and non-clinical departments.

We seek a leader with 15+ years in reputed teaching health care institutions, strong financial acumen, change management skills, and experience with governance and international health

Qualifications

• Master's degree in healthcare administration or a closely related field.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in reputed teaching health care institutions.
• Strong knowledge of financial management in university teaching hospitals/health systems.
• Proven ability to drive change and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with international affairs and regulatory standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic, operational, financial and quality management of the hospital.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement long-term plans aligned with mission.
• Develop and enforce policies to enhance efficiency and patient care quality.
• Ensure HR compliance, staff development and a positive work culture.
• Represent the hospital at boards, donor functions, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead adoption of new technologies and effective use of IT systems.
