Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration or business administration is required.
• Extensive leadership experience in reputed teaching health care institutions.
• Experience with international affairs of global health care organizations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial management and budgeting in university health systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Oversee daily operations of the hospital, including clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Work with Chairs and Vice Chairs to meet goals and develop models of practice.
• Promote continuous improvement and quality assurance; monitor performance metrics.
• Represent hospital at board meetings, donor functions, and relevant forums.
• Anticipate impact of tech advancements and market competition on services.
• Advocate for new technologies and systems to improve operations and care.
• Craft alliances with external organizations to grow patient services.
• Manage budget and ensure financial sustainability; optimize resources.
• Ensure HR policy compliance and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and ongoing safety programs.
• Lead the hospital’s response to emergencies and crises.
